Straw Loader Machine: Turning Residue Into Bhusa Income

The same residue you were going to burn fills a trolley of saleable bhusa in twenty-five minutes. Here is what the machine actually does.

A straw loader machine does three jobs in one pass: it picks up the residue lying in the field, chops it into fine bhusa, and blows it into the trolley behind. Because the chopping happens during loading, there is no second handling step — what lands in the trolley is ready to feed or sell.

What output to expect

With a 1500 mm pickup width, the machine fills a full trolley of fine bhusa in 20 to 25 minutes. It mounts on a standard 3-point linkage and runs off a 540 RPM PTO, so any tractor of 35 HP and above will operate it. The machine itself weighs about 800 kg.

Why the economics work

Residue burning is fast and free at the moment it happens, and expensive in every other way — lost soil organic matter, penalties, and air quality in your own village. Convert that residue into bhusa and it becomes fodder stock for your cattle or a commodity you can sell to dairy farms nearby.

Farms with livestock typically recover the cost of the machine within two seasons. Farms without livestock recover it by selling bhusa, and clear their fields faster so the next crop goes in sooner.

Timing matters more than people expect

Straw collected while still slightly dry loads cleanest. Wait for a rain shower and the whole operation becomes harder, the blower works against damp material, and bhusa quality drops. Plan collection right after the reaper has cleared the field.

Plan storage before you plan collection

A covered stack kept off the ground holds bhusa quality far longer than an open heap. This is the step most farms skip, and it is where value quietly disappears over the months between harvest and the fodder-scarce season.

What the machine handles

  • Wheat straw
  • Paddy straw
  • Barley and oats residue
  • Jowar stalks
  • General dry fodder

Straw loader price and subsidy

Straw loader price varies with model and configuration. As the manufacturer we quote factory-direct, and residue-management equipment attracts subsidy in several states — worth checking before you buy. Send an enquiry or call +91-8799656981 for the current price and your nearest dealer.
